NBA YoungBoy has been churning out music non-stop for the past few years. The rapper recently released his latest project, Colors on Friday. Now, it appears he’s all out of gas as he considers a break from music.

YoungBoy’s producer Jason “Cheese” Goldberg took to Instagram to share a surprising announcement. He revealed in an Instagram post that the rapper would be going on a 6 month long hiatus. Jason previously worked with YoungBoy on Colors.

Jason also teased while YoungBoy takes his time off, there will still be a few releases. He said under the post, “PSA: A select few songs probably (maybe) will drop from now until then but Top will not be seen or heard from into his album approximately #6months from now,” The news comes as a blow to YoungBoy’s fans who were in a joyous mood following the release of Colors.

Meanwhile, YoungBoy is engaged in an all-out internet war with fellow rappers NLE Choppa and Lil Durk. There have been some fiery exchanges over the past few days fans as fans try to dig through lyrics and social media posts in an attempt to figure out who said what about whom.
