Muni Long is well known for writing/co-writing Rihanna’s hit “California King Bed” and Fifth Harmony’s single “Worth It.” Muni Long, formerly known as Priscilla Renea, has a major hit on her hands with “Hrs and Hrs.” Halle Bailey recently covered it, which drew criticism from fans. Halle is back with a response to the critics.

Several famous singers have released their versions of the song, covering it and putting their own twist on it. Halle Bailey altered the song’s octave to better suit her voice, but fans reacted with amusement, clowning her rendition of the song. After hearing the reaction, Halle promptly rebutted, explaining why she raised the song by an octave.

“I love the song but sang it an octave higher because it’s too low for me. Lol, my sopranos can relate.”

With the popularity of this song, Muni Long appears to be on the verge of a breakout year. Her wonderful voice has propelled her to become one of the fastest emerging artists in R&B. It’s quite obvious too that her rendition is more popular than any of the covers that have been released.

Halle did her best to cover the song in her own way, but she received little praise. Keep an eye on Thirsty for the latest updates.
