Kanye West Subject Of Police Investigation After Assaulting Fan

Kanye West has spent the early part of the new year moving on from his past. West’s contentious divorce from reality TV star Kim Kardashian seems to finally be in the rearview mirror. Ye has been romancing Julia Fox. Things seemed to be pointed in the right direction.

On Thursday morning, things took a potentially negative turn. Kanye West is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly hitting a fan. TMZ reported on the ongoing police activity.

Sources with the LAPD said Kanye got into an argument that allegedly became physical at about 3:00 AM in downtown L.A. The incident occurred near the Soho Warehouse. It is unknown where West was or what he was doing in the leadup to the fight.

During the scuffle, Kanye West is accused of punching a male fan. The case is being treated as a misdemeanor battery investigation. Those charges could carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail for Yeezy.

Kanye was spotted earlier in the evening partying at Delilah in West Hollywood with Julia Fox. Kanye left alone and drove away from the club. Julia stayed there by herself.

At some point in the interim, Kanye West got himself involved with the fan. Things allegedly escalated enough for Kanye to angrily punch the fan. The police investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
