Cordae is blessing us with another album after years of waiting. On Jan. 14, the 24-year-old rapper will be dropping his sophomore album, From a Birds Eye View. To everyone’s surprise Eminem is also featured in one of his songs.

The LP features contributions from Gunna, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Nas, Eminem, Roddy Rich, Stevie Wonder, and more. The album is inspired by “a life-changing trip to Africa, enduring the loss of a friend gone too soon, and evolving as an artist and a man.” The names on the album are enough to get an average Hip-Hop fan excited.

With an upbringing in Maryland and North Carolina, the artist made a name for himself as a thought-provoking lyricist within the YBN crew. The release of From a Birds Eye View will be accompanied by a nationwide tour. It kicks off Feb. 3 at the Dallas, TX, House of Blues and extends through March 19.

In 2021, Cordae and Jack Harlow guested on Eminem’s “Killer (Remix).” The same year, he joined Nas and Freddie Gibbs on “Life Is Like A Dice Game.” This song reworked an Illmatic-era freestyle that was widely bootlegged.

In 2020, Cordae impressed Funk Flex with a freestyle. He has also been praised by Dr. Dre as “hard as f***,” and been dubbed the bridge for hip-hop’s generation gap by The Wall Street Journal. For such an young and coming artist, that is some recognition.

From the looks of it, the new Cordae album is going to be a banger. The features and people involved in writing and composition makes it even more mouthwatering. We will be looking forward with high hopes for the album when it drops on January 14.
