The Brooklyn Nets are about to get a huge boost as Kyrie Irving is set to make his return to the court. This comes after much controversy stemming from COVID-19 protocols.
Irving is a vocal antivaxxer and his concern only grew that some would demonize him for that. He stepped away from the court, but now that is about to change. TMZ reports that one thing that won’t change is his vaccination status, because he’s still not vaccinated.
According to Shams Charania, the All-Star player is set to return very soon. An actual date was not included in the official breaking news report, but Irving’s return is a long time coming.
Just in: All-NBA star Kyrie Irving has started process to return to the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Irving is ramping up, has begun team COVID-19 testing, and his season debut date is still to be determined.
We’ll have to see exactly how long it will take for Kyrie Irving to make his return to the Nets. There were talks of trading him in the meantime, but there was also doubts that they would want to give that star power and ability to another team.
