Charles “Da Bronx” Oliveira proved to the world that he’s the undisputed lightweight king in the UFC for a reason. Oliveira battered fan-favorite Dustin Poirier at this Sunday’s UFC 269 and ended things in the 3rd round after submitting him out to a rear-naked chokehold.

Many saw Poirier as the next UFC Lightweight Champion due to his two consecutive victories of Conor McGregor and also due to his remarkable fight against former Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

However, Oliveira silenced the world with his jaw-dropping performance at UFC 269 and stopped Poirier’s momentum. Now, Poirier’s nemesis and former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has stepped into the picture.

McGregor has taken to Twitter to ask the date for his fight against Da Bronx.

The Notorious One’s last outing in the Octagon was against Poirer and the match ended in the first round after Mcgregor sustained a gruesome leg injury. McGregor, however, is hell bent on getting back into the cage as soon as his recovery is completely done with.

Oliveira hasn’t commented on McGregor’s call out yet but it is not too likely that McGregor will get to jump in to the title picture so soon.
