Cardi B Makes History With 3rd Diamond Single

Cardi B is the first female rapper with multiple diamond records. She currently holds a total of three diamond records in her possession.

She got her third record for her song “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny. RIAA certifying it as 10x-platinum on Dec. 13, Monday. To celebrate this achievement, Cardi took to Instagram for a 13-minute live session to interact with fans.

Cardi expressed her gratitude and thankfulness to her fans and J Balvin on Instagram Live. She added, “I have accomplished so much, but I still want more.” The 29-year also promised that her sophomore album will finally drop in 2022

The song hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was included in her debut album Invasion of Privacy in 2018. With the help of J Balvin and Bad Bunny, the Tainy and J. White produced track was nominated for the Record of the Year in 2019 Grammy Awards.

Cardi B now joins Katy Perry as the only female artist with at least three diamond plaques to her name. Cardi got her first two entries into the diamond club with “Bodak Yellow”, and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”
