Magic Mike 3 is one of the most hyped upcoming cinematic projects. The first two films which were huge successes thanks to Channing Tatum’s breathtaking performances will now be followed up with a conclusive third part. While the film is still taking place in the initial stages, its casting choices is already making fans expect big from the project.

Thandiwe Newton has been casted on the project as the female lead alongside the G.I. Joe actor. Newton is known most prominently for her roles in Mission Impossible 2, Westworld, The Pursuit of Happiness & Gridlock’d.

Newton recently re-emerged in a new role alongside Hugh Jackman in sci-fi thriller Reminiscence after her 2017 role in Solo: A Star Wars Story. According to THR, the actress also stars as Maeve on the Emmy award-winning series Westworld.

Magic Mike’s original director Steven Soderbergh has returned to work on the series despite not being part for Magic Mike XXL. The franchise has become an unlikely hit, and even hosted a live stage show for the promotion of the franchise.

The film is expected to enter production as soon as the pre-production details are hammered out. After finishing production, the film is likely to release on HBO Max sometime in 2022.
