Eminem continues to set the standard for all other modern rappers. When it comes to success, nobody has achieved more than Eminem. He’s one of the most prolific and influential of all time.

Now, Slim Shady has another feather in his cap. The Detroit rapper has passed 50 million subscribers on YouTube. That makes him the most followed hip-hop artist on the site, according to Eminem News.

Eminem has added 4 million new subscribers in 2021. In 2020, he added six million. That surge of followers came on the tails of the release of “Music to Be Murdered By.” No other artist in the industry has hit a million new followers this year without dropping a new album.

Only one new fully-fledged music video was added by Eminem during the year. He has, however, added several lyric videos over that time. It’s still remarkable that Marshall made such strides without new material.

Eminem has had a long, hard climb to the top. Back in 1998, before he became famous, he did a cameo in a music video by the band Korn. He was already trying to establish contacts to make a name for himself.

Since then, he has sold 154 million albums and singles in the United States alone. He’s achieved 50 platinum album certifications. Ten of his LP’s have gone to #1 on the Billboard charts.
