Young Dolph was gunned down on Wednesday in Memphis. He was on his way to a charity event, handing out turkeys for Thanksgiving. Then he was brutally murdered inside a cookie store.

Despite the rapper’s death, Dolph’s Paper Route record label rallied people around the cause and held that charity event anyway. Hundreds of turkeys and other food was given out to families in need.

According to a report from TMZ, hundreds of people showed up for the charity event and they still handed out tons of birds to needy families. This was a huge undertaking during a tragic time. The community was still able to rally together in spite of the hardships.

This story is a happy one brought out of tragedy. Dolph’s killers have not been captured as of this writing. Video footage does show them in the act, but we’re not sure how far along the police are in their open investigation.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
