Kelly Stafford has apologized after an altercation with a fan in San Francisco resulted in a personal foul for pretzel throwing. The wife of Los Angeles Rams QB Matt Stafford was later called out on social media. She has since apologized.

TMZ reported on the incident, sharing a screenshot of the accusation and the apology. A fan asked why she threw a pretzel at the 49er fan sitting beside them. They identified as a Rams fan and said they were ashamed by the behavior of QB1’s wife. Stafford quickly apologized.

“girl I knowwwww I’m an idiot. He was saying a bunch of things that were aggressive towards our crew but zero excuse. I tried to apologize, but in the end I knew I was wrong. Will always stand up for my guy and everyone I love, but obviously needed to do it completely different! I’m embarrassed too! Sorry you had to witness me in my weak moment.”

The two exchanged heated words. After the incident escalated, Kelly threw a pretzel at the San Francisco fan. Security at Levi’s Stadium escorted Kelly away to a different location for everyone’s safety.

Stafford threw two interceptions for the Rams in the game. If only it were pretzels and not pigskins, they might be on to something. Nobody was injured and no charges were filed in the humiliating incident.

The Rams (and fantasy football owners who started Matthew Stafford) took a beating in the game. San Francisco destroyed L.A., 31-10. It was a bad day all around for the Stafford family, but at least they’re not still in Detroit.
