Seeing as Thanksgiving is just around the corner, the NFL has beefed up its COVID protocols. Teams were just sent a memo on Wednesday informing them about the new enhanced COVID-19 protocols.

As per the memo, both vaccinated and unvaccinated players will be required to wear masks, as will all personnel interacting with the players. This mandate will last from the 25th of November to the 1st of December.

Teams will also be required to make video of their weight rooms and cafeterias available to the league on or before the 29th of November. In addition, all players will also be tested for COVID on November 29 and December 1.

The memo also urges teams to provide testing facilities for the friends and families of the players, whom they’re likely to meet for the holiday. The testing is recommended prior to the players interacting with them.

It certainly seems like the NFL is taking the health and safety of all involved very seriously. Here’s hoping that the teams adhere to these new protocols.
