Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest names in the entire world right now. His brand value is almost limitless and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that.

Daniel Craig made a name for himself for portraying the role of James Bond in the long-running franchise featuring the world’s most famous spy. Craig began his Bond journey with Casino Royale and ended it with No Time To Die this year.

It was previously reported that Eon Productions, who have been responsible for producing the main branch of the 007 film franchise, aren’t in a hurry to find a replacement for Daniel Craig.

While speaking to Esquire, The Rock revealed that he wants to be the next James Bond now that Daniel Craig has retired from the iconic role and not a villain in the series.

“Yes, my grandfather was a Bond villain in You Only Live Twice with Sean Connery. “It was very, very cool. And I would like to follow in his footsteps and be the next Bond. I don’t wanna be a villain. Gotta be Bond.”

Craig also joked about Hugh Jackman replacing him as James Bond previously. We will have to wait and see if The Rock will ever be in contention for becoming the next James Bond or not.
