The Fake Drake saga continues. The man who was running around Miami pretending to be Drizzy has caused a sensation online. He’s posed as the rapper, even down to the Certified Lover Boy signature heart haircut, for quite some time.

Fake Drake, whose real name is Izzy, recently sat down with No Jumper to tell the entire story. He explained that a fateful trip to Miami changed his life when Tory Lanez spotted him after a Lil Wayne concert and shared the video on social media. Akademiks caught on, and Fake Drake was soon everywhere.

“I’m touring, I’ve got some music events I gotta show up to,” he said. “People DM me like, ‘Hey, you wanna come to my event because I can’t pay Drake – he’s too expensive. I’ll pay you $5,000.’ $5,000 just to show up. They pay my Airbnb, they pay the flight, they hook it all up.”

The false Six God said the actual Drake is cool with the act. Izzy said a professional gambler friend in Vegas who knows Drake talked to him about the impression. Drizzy apparently doesn’t have an issue.

“He got in contact with Drake and Drake was just like, ‘It doesn’t bother me, it doesn’t affect me. Let the guy get his bag. It’s not affecting me. If you think it’s gonna go wrong if you’re posting him on your [Instagram Stories] and everything, just keep the peace.’ He didn’t really give a f*ck, you know? That was the whole thing.”

Who knows, maybe Fake Drake will be coming soon to a city near you. There’s still no public statement from Drake himself about the matter, so this might be as close as we get. You can check out the full No Jumper interview below.
