LeBron James’s contributions to the world of professional basketball cannot be understated. James suffered a serious injury to his right ankle in the Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks back in March. Even after coming back, James has never been the same. It seems Kevin Garnett recently caused outrage after what he called LeBron James.
LeBron James came into the world of professional basketball around the time Michael Jordan retired from active competition. Since then, many considered LeBron James on the same level as Jordan as he came during the post-Jordan era.
While speaking to GQ, Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett was asked about his opinion when it came to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Garnett explained the difference and while doing so, he called LeBron James ‘little homie.’
“It’s a different level of respect. Michael Jordan I looked at as fucking God. And I thought he was my version of what basketball looked like.
And with LeBron, it was more like the little homie. Here’s the little homie growing up, and man, little homie is getting better than everybody! God damn!… I definitely talked some shit to him. I’ve definitely said some crazy shit to him. He’s definitely said some crazy shit back to me.”
However, the “little homie” comment led to a lot of outrage among NBA fans, especially LeBron James’ fans. They all took to Twitter and blasted Kevin Garnett for his comment.
LeBron dunked on Kevin Garnett so hard it had Marv Albert saying “LEBRON JAMES WITH NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE.” But okay, LeBron’s “little homie.
The only time I hear about Kevin Garnett is when he’s talking about Lebron…I’m noticing a trend here
KG get real in his feelings whenever they bring up Lebron to him
Actually…KG is LeBron’s ‘Lil Homie’
This is stupid….KG needs to stop talking about LeBron
While LeBron James and Kevin Garnett had some bad blood, Garnett still gave LeBron James massive props for all he has accomplished in his career. Unfortunately. LeBron James is currently plagued by injuries and has been missing out on several games this season.
