Ashley Mitchell was unceremoniously sent home from “The Challenge” last night. Her team, the Sapphire Cell, won the daily challenge on the show. That meant her team would have to deliberate and select who was getting eliminated. Instead, her squadmates made the decision without her and Ashley was sent home.

Hollywood Life reported on the incident. TJ Lavin very briefly tried to explain what happened. It was vague and didn’t actually explain anything. He simply said she broke the rule and can’t continue in the game.

“Ashley has broken one of our rules, and because of that, she was no longer able to continue in this game.”

Ashley then took out her thoughts on the surprise elimination to social media. She said she was OK with the decision and need to change her behavior. Mitchell also thanked fans for the support and revealed that she’s been dealing with mental health issue since returning home. It sounds like the time away from the show will be beneficial.

“Rules are rules and I respect @mtv and TJs call. The best apology is changed behavior. See you next time

“I just want to thank everyone whose stuck with me through out this all. Everyone knows I’m only mad at myself and it has been so hard to shake off the depression and anxiety since getting home. I have been taking anger management and reflecting alot. I love you yall so much”

The Challenge continued as normal after Ashley was shockingly sent packing. Amanda Garcia was voted into elimination but defeated Big T in the challenge. Lavin ultimately allowed T to stay, since Ashley had already eliminated herself.
