Lada Gaga received the honor of performing the National Anthem at President Joe Biden’s January 2021 inauguration. Gaga is always thinking about how she can make a fashion statement. Recently, she discussed her inaugural look with British Vogue.

The famous dress, adorned with a golden dove representing peace, became one of many iconic pieces of Gaga style. She shared some of her all-time favorite looks in a video for Vogue. She explained the meaning of the dress in-depth. She revealed that the dress itself was bulletproof.

“This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever worn. I wore this Schiaparelli design for the inauguration, and nobody knows this, but this is a bulletproof dress.”

Lady Gaga said the centerpiece of the look was the dove. It symbolized the peaceful transition from the chaotic Presidential administration of Donald Trump to the more stoic, measured Biden. She knew the dove was perfect from the moment she saw it.
