Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have released statements regarding the Astroworld tragedy that left eight concertgoers dead and hundreds injured. After a deadly crowd crush left fans grasping for air and screaming for their lives, Astroworld promoter and rapper Travis Scott has agreed to refund all ticket money and cover the funeral costs of those who died.

Kylie Jenner attended the festival along with her daughter. She has said that Scott didn’t know how serious the situation in the crowd was. Kim K. and Kendall have weighed in on the tragic situation through their Instagram stories. Kim released a statement via her Instagram story.

“Absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld. Just like all of you, our family is in shock by the tragedy. We are keeping all of the victims, families and loved ones impacted in our prayers for healing – as well as Travis who we know cares so much about his fans and is truly devastated.”

Kendall also took the Instagram route to make her statement. Unlike Kim, she did not show outward empathy for Travis Scott, who many blame for the horrible occurrence. Otherwise, the statement read like a carbon copy.

“I’m still at a loss for words over the news from Astroworld. I’m truly broken for the families that have lost loved ones and my prayers go out to everyone involved. Sending everyone who has been affected all of my love and wishing them strength during this incredibly devastating and sensitive time.

Kendall”

Travis Scott and Live Nation have already been hit with at least seven lawsuits. Scott has a history of promoting the Astroworld festival as a violent, out-of-control event. Now, he is faced with the consequences of his alleged recklessness in a serious of court battles.
