It would seem that Conor McGregor likes looking back at old memories on social media, because it was after he found an old tweet from 2015, that the MMA fighter decided to voice his opinions on the remarks and the one who authored them, Islam Makhachev.

The fighter probably has a lot of time on his hands, as he is rehabbing an injury he suffered during his latest fight with Dustin Poirier – a highly publicized broken leg. So yeah, he took offence to a pretty biting statement from Islam Makhachev, it would turn out.

“I can’t imagine that after all his talk, Conor loses…”

The tweet was almost a prophesy, he making the statement before Connor was set to face Chad Mendes. Words like that are the simple things that can have a man like Conor up in arms, so of course, he would undoubtedly respond and in a way that’s rather poetic for Conor McGregor.

“Can you not, you inbred? What about the one after that then? you are nobody without me, don’t forget. beg me. If I leave shit on the bus on he a nobody like you ahahahaha he still is, kid. A nobody at the big bank. Shit the bus and now he lives off your work,”

The two have always had bad blood, and he has never seen eye-to-eye with his entire team. Islam Makhachev is doing well as of late and just may be headed into a match for the gold finally, while McGregor’s future is uncertain after a string of losses. Is he still hungry? many have asked. Perhaps this recent act of combativeness is a sign that he is, but time will tell.
