Kevin Gates is an advocate for semen retention. Gates revealed his strategy in a recent interview. He believes that withholding sexual release is healing for the body. Kodak Black recently told his Twitter followers that he’ll be keeping with the practice for a while, as well.

On Sunday, Kodak said he would be participating in the phenomenon that has become known as “No Nut November.” During the annual temperance event, participants practice semen retention for various reasons. Kodak gave fans insight into his reasons for taking on the challenge. Hot New Hip Hop reported on his decision.

“#SemenRetention All Next Month. #NoNutNovember Saving My Life Source & Not Wasting My Energy On Foolishness, Changing Fa The Better Completely Starting Tomorrow.”

It’s not clear what he meant by “life source” in the tweet. According to a study by Harvard University, semen retention could be dangerous. It can lead to an increased risk of prostate cancer. Of course, you should consult with your doctor about this sort of thing if you’re thinking about participating. Never take health advice from an entertainer.

Gates has publicly advocated for the practice. He claims that men can still have intercourse while practicing semen retention. They just need to refrain from ejaculating for the program to be successful. Gates did not name any specific health benefits, and there probably aren’t any.

Kodak Black has been in the news for some other strange reasons. Besides his participation in the month-long ritual, he recently discussed his bad takes on relationships and groped his own mother. He’s also campaigning to win a Grammy Award.
