The beef between Jake Paul and former boxer turned MMA fighter Claressa Shields has now reached the top of the mixed martial arts food chain. UFC President Dana White recently made his feelings on the feud known. He’s rooting for Claressa.

Talking to MMA Fighting, White didn’t pull any punches when he discussed Paul’s recent trash talking of Shields. In fact, he seems to have taken Paul’s words as an insult to the entire sport. In an angry tirade, Dana let his feelings about the matter be known.

“I hope he runs into her somewhere and she knocks him the f*ck out. Jake Paul calls Claressa Shields a loser? Claressa Shields is nothing but a winner who actually fought real people in her weight class, in her own age, in her own sport and then goes over to MMA and tries to win a world title. That’s not a loser, that’s a winner.

White went on to criticize Paul for fighting older, smaller athletes in a series of boxing matches. He called him a goofball and gave even more props to Claressa Shields.

To be looked at as the best female boxer, right, and to come over here and start training and start to do this, not easy. Nothing but respect for her. Obviously, she’s a very talented, gifted athlete. So yeah, crazy that anybody’s saying anything to her. That’s ridiculous.”

Shields was dragged by Paul after suffering the first defeat of her professional fighting career at this weekend’s PFL event. He called the fighter fake and said she wasn’t a draw. The two have been involved in an ongoing back-and-forth. Paul has been criticized for hand-picking opponents he can beat. Dana White’s comments can be viewed below.
