Dwayne Johnson has a close bond with his mother, Ata Johnson. He often makes posts dedicated to her and has talked about her life struggles in the past. It was her birthday on October 25 and he shared a video celebrating with her. In the video, we get to see him perform a traditional Samoan dance, Taualuga, with his mother on her birthday.

In the video posted on his Instagram, The Rock can be seen dancing with his mother to a traditional Samoan song. He showered her with cash as they were surrounded by their family members. He wished her a happy birthday in the caption of the video and wrote a heartfelt note for her.

“Graceful. Happy Birthday “Mama Rock” @atajohnson 🌺 We had a beautiful birthday celebrating my mom as she was surrounded by love, appreciation and blessings. Here she’s beautifully dancing our Samoan “Taualuga” which is our cultures traditional and highly respected dance. Customary to throw money as I did at my mom – and my dance, “Aiuli” is a sign of respect and pride – and then stand back let her be the main focus and attention. (we let our youngest daughter throw fake money 💴😂) I often use the word MANA when describing energy and emotions .This is mana. You feel it. Happy Birthday Mom. We love you and we’re so grateful you were born. Cheeeehooo!!!”

The Rock has been vocal about his mother’s life struggles. On mother’s day this year, he wrote another note dedicated to his mom on Instagram. He showed appreciation for her staying strong despite going through a lot. The Rock also shared that his mother has been through a suicide attempt, cancer, and more hardships.
