Cleveland Browns quarterback, Baker Mayfield expressed hope that he would be able to play despite his shoulder injury. However, it now seems that Mayfield might require more time to recover.

In a conversation with Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Mayfield shared that he has a fracture in his humerus bone, at the shoulder. This, Mayfield explained, is preventing his rotator cuff from firing.

Mayfield sustained the fracture when his shoulder got dislocated during Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Mayfield also expressed hope that his injury will heal in time for him to join his team in next Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

I need that fracture to heal for me to get back out there.

However, it is yet to be seen whether Mayfield’s wish will be fulfilled. Here’s hoping that he makes a complete and timely recovery.
