Dancing With the Stars fans are some of TV’s most loyal. After Monday’s Grease themed episode, the loyal have become the livid.

After the weekly performances, show host Tyra Banks made the usual announcement of which couples would be safe from elimination. The only problem was that the safe couples did not match the top of the scoreboard.

The bottom two for the night after the scores were tabulated were Mel C and Gleb Savchenko with a score of 36. Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy were tied with the couple, also scoring a 36.

This left the DWTS judges with a very difficult choice. They would have to save one couple of the other. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Mel C and Gleb. Derek Hough and Len Goodman chose Olivia and Val.

With both sets of judges selecting opposite teams, the rules state that the final vote in a tie comes down to the vote of the “head judge.” In this case, Goodman’s vote meant that Olivia and Val would move on.

Fans on Twitter blasted the judges. Goodman received a particularly harsh amount of outrage. Some fans even went after Olivia Jade, dragging up the dirt of her mother’s involvement in the recent college admissions scandal.
