While LeBron James has long been the standard-bearer for NBA players, there are facets of his game that took a little while longer to develop. While it took a while, LeBron became a clutch 3-point shooter over the years.

After nailing one of his signature 3’s in a preseason matchup with the Golden State Warriors, Bron’s teammate, Dwight Howard, had a little fun with the NBA legend. While goofing around during warm-ups, Howard pantomimed LeBron’s shoulder shimmy move and put up a faux trifecta of his own.

The lighthearted joke amongst teammates went viral when the 6’`10″ center, not known for his outside game, was shared on Instagram by the Lakers with the caption, “Who shot it better?”

Howard has long been known amongst his NBA counterparts as a guy who likes to fool around. He once said that he’d like to hit a Stone Cold Stunner during a game. He’s also shared some sporting back-and-forth in the past with Shaq.

Back on October 2, 2021, ESPN’s SportsCenter posted a video where Howard said that LeBron commented that he’d allow him to shoot a three if he were to record two blocks in a game.

It remains to be seen if the big man will take LeBron up on his offer. It is good, though, to see professional athletes not taking themselves too seriously.

Will Dwight Howard hit a three-pointer this season? Let us know what you think in the comments!
