Superstar rapper 50 Cent has obviously been no stranger to controversy. Usually, Fifty keeps his beefs within the hip-hop sphere. This time, though, he’s giving his opinion on the preferences of a fictitious character.

DC Comics, publishers and rights-holders of the Superman character and all of it’s multiverses, revealed this week that the son of the famed superhero and long-time love Lois Lane is bisexual in the latest issue of the comic series. This, of course, coincided with National Coming Out Day and was celebrated within the LGBTQ+ community.

It’s not as if DC suddenly made a hard turn and decided that Clark Kent, the original Superman, suddenly wasn’t straight. This is their son, a completely different character. It completely makes sense to have a new, young character discovering who they are within the realm of storytelling. It could inspire kids who really need some inspiration.

Unfortunately, 50 Cent doesn’t see things that way. The rapper took to Instagram to voice his take on the matter in a post that he predictably deleted after much backlash.

“oh shit, the world is coming to a end ! who did this shit to Super Man,” the deleted post by 50 said. “so now he like lois lane and Larry [shrug emoji] ain’t this a bitch!”

This is definitely a good look for the rap mogul. We’ll see how 50 Cent responds to the backlash in the coming days.
