WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder had a blood feud that has been in the making for quite a long time. The two crossed paths twice where Fury clearly had the edge.
The two heavyweight boxers finally squared off against each other in the third fight of the trilogy on October 9th at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Both boxers showed off their expertise as a pugilist and it also featured Wilder knocking down Tyson Fury twice in the match, becoming the first man to ever do so.
However, despite his best efforts, Deontay Wilder simply couldn’t beat Fury as Fury knocked him out in the 11th round and brought an end to their longstanding rivalry.
After the end of the boxing match, Michael Benson of talkSPORT took to Twitter and revealed that Deontay Wilder wasn’t sure what happened after his crushing loss to Tyson Fury.
“I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough tonight. I’m not sure what happened. I knew that he didn’t come in at 277lbs to be a ballet dancer. He came to lean on me, try to rough me up and he succeeded.”
We will have to wait and see what is in store for Deontay Wilder now that he lost his boxing match against Tyson Fury.
