Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer landed in a bit of hot water recently. A video came out of a woman dancing up on him in a big way while he was at a bar. He remained sitting on his stool, but she got pretty close for comfort with him.

People spoke out about this viral video, judging him a ton along the way. Now Urban’s wife is speaking out on the situation, and she wants people to forgive her husband.

Through two tweets, Shelley Meyer responded to this video. She said that everyone is a sinner, and that doesn’t make her husband any different. She then left Twitter after making these statements in defense of her husband.

“Frankly, I don’t need the hate, vitriol, slander, trash that will @ me (this has never stopped anyway). We all make mistakes-we are all sinners. If you think you aren’t? Then cast the first stone.”

”To my wonderful followers/friends: THANK YOU. For your love, support, friendship, laughs-I will miss this the most. I love you ALL and wish God’s blessings on you. Thank you #FaithFamilyFootballFlamingos.”

Jaguars owner Shad Khan didn’t have the same outlook that Urban Meyer’s wife did. He commented to say, “I have addressed this matter with Urban. I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere. Now, he must regain our trust and respect,” Khan wrote via Facebook. “That will require a personal commitment from Urban to everyone who supports, represents or plays for our team. I am confident he will deliver.”

We’ll have to see if this kind of thing happens in the future, but it’s a pretty safe bet that Urban Meyer will be on his best behavior in public from now on.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
