Holly Holm isn’t having the best time right now, because her planned fight on October 16th is now off due to injury.

Holm, who has a 14-5 MMA record with 7-5 in the UFC, suffered a knee injury while training. This caused her camp to nix the former UFC bantamweight titleholder’s upcoming bout against Norma Dumont.

UFC Fight Night 195 on October 16th will now proceed without that high profile fight. Ariel Helwani was the first to report that the fight is off via his Substack platform.

The 39-year-old Holm was scheduled to face Julianna Pena in May, but she had to pull out of that fight as well. That time she cited kidney issues that required surgery. Now her knee is giving her problems and her fight against Dumont is off.

Holm hasn’t fought since October 2020, marking one year since her last encounter in the Octagon. This is disappointing news for Holly Holm and Norma Dumont, because they were both looking to proved themselves in different ways.

There is no word when Holly Holm will be ready for action once again. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more information.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
