BMF’s first season was just released by Starz. Apparently BMF was favored by the audiences so much that the network has order another installment for the highly-anticipated show.
Black Mafia Family‘s executive producer rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) and writer/executive producer Randy Huggins are going to deliver the next season sometime next year. CEO of Starz revealed while announcing the second season of the show:
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson continues to find and cultivate stories like BMF that are culturally relevant, bringing the network important untold stories that are incredibly diverse both in front of and behind the camera. Following such a strong debut, we’re excited to see what Curtis, Randy and the award-worthy cast deliver in the second season.
Fifty has previous worked on many shows in the past such as Power, Power Book II: Ghost & For Life. Huggins has worked on Star, Rebel as well as in Power alongside 50 Cent himself.
The series topped the premieres on the Starz app, as well as became one of the biggest debuts across many OTT platforms. 50 Cent revealed that both Snoop Dogg and Eminem will be playing significant roles within the series.
