John Cena took on the Peacemaker role as part of The Suicide Squad, the 2021 reboot of the Suicide Squad franchise. He received rave reviews for that role, especially from Warner executives who gave him an HBO Max spin-off series before The Suicide Squad film even wrapped up shooting.

A new photo dropped from the upcoming HBO Max series. This shot features a shirtless John Cena, ripped as ever. You see him from the back as the promotional campaign pout the 16x World Champion’s muscles on full display.

HBO Max’s upcoming content slate also revealed that new footage from the show is on the way. One teaser that dropped for the exclusive audience showed Cena sitting at a diner with other cast members. Another featured a variety of firepower blasting off in the jungle.

The Peacemaker series will debut in January 2022 on HBO Max. Other cast members include: Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, and Chukwudi Iwuji.

We will have to wait for this new series to drop, but there is certainly a lot of hype behind this new project.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
