J.K. Simmons’ home was burglarized on Thursday night, and police are on the case. The Law & Order actor now has a real open case, but he’s not a person of interest.

Simmons knows all about homeowners insurance. That information comes in very handy at times like this. TMZ reports that the Farmers Insurance spokesman was the victim of a robbery in his San Fernando Valley home around 8:00 PM on Thursday.

Our sources say one of J.K.’s workers showed up at the house and found a glass door smashed. Thing is … we’re told the house was not ransacked and it doesn’t appear as though anything was missing. At least at first glance.

Police reportedly told the outlet that J.K. and his wife were not home when the break-in occurred. They were out of town, so they still have to assess what was stolen. It’s unclear if an alarm went off at their home an the intruder was scared away. It seems that J.K. Simmons’ home is okay, but there is a broken glass door.

This is a terrible situation, but at least J.K seems to be doing fine through the whole ordeal.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
