Bill Burr recently took a very controversial take on the COVID-19 pandemic. At a time when so many are begging others to get vaccinated or wear a mask, Bill Burr took the polar opposite approach.

While appearing on Late Night with Seth Myers, Bill Burr went into a bit of a controversial rant as he took a very hot take on COVID-19. He hopes that the virus gets “deadlier” and “wipe[s] out way more people.”

“[I hope] the virus gets deadlier and I want it to just wipe out way more people. That’s what I’m going for. I think we all tried to pull in the same direction. It’s not going to happen. And we’re all sort of broken up into these pods on the internet where people just want to hear what they want to hear.”

Bill Burr is known for his controversial opinions and brazen comedy. This statement was taken in a very serious way as many didn’t appreciate his stance on the pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic is very serious, and even Bill Burr admitted that he will be wearing a mask. He also doesn’t care either after so much happened in society to make an incredible jaded man even more callused.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
