Drake is riding high after the successful release of Certified Lover Boy, and now he has a new gig with Monday Night Football. Drizzy is now responsible for curating all of the music for the popular weekly sports program.

The former Degrassi actor will be in charge of the 10-game Monday Night Football season this year into next year. Drake will feature his newest songs along with some old favorites, and whatever else he wants to play. Heck, he might even decide to leak another Kanye West track while he’s at it.

Drake is a massive sports fan, as we all know. He’s sat courtside at tons of Lakers games and is good buddies with LeBron James. He also has friends from the NFL and now he can supply the league with tracks.

This Drakeover is coming soon to a television near you. We’ll have to see if it improves ratings, but Drake also dropped a tease for Certified Lover Boy’s release date as part of SportsCenter, so this isn’t his only recent association with sporting television.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
