Michael Jackson has been dubbed as the King of Pop for a reason. The artist had an extremely successful career. Even at the point of his demise, his career was at an all-time-high.

The artist’s music is timeless, and continues to stay relevant even when tons of new music keeps coming in. Jackson’s classics hold some positions in charts at any given instance, and “Thriller” is one of such songs.

The iconic album which features Jackson’s most iconic hits such as “Billie Jean,” “Thriller,” & “Beat It” received an RIAA rating once again. This marks the 34th instance for the song to be certified platinum by the RIAA, which means that the album has sold a whopping 34 million times.

Jackson now stands 2nd ever in getting the most platinum certifications on an album. Thriller stands only second to The Eagles’ Greatest Hits collections. The collection has received 38 times, so it’s only 4 more million copies for the album to gain the first place.
