Dustin Poirier Claims He’s Never Heard Of Roman Reigns

Dustin Poirier is currently one of the most distinguished fighters in all of the MMA world. He has two victories over Conor McGregor and that has certainly helped raise his stock to new heights. That doesn’t mean he keeps up with WWE.

While many MMA fighters are well aware of WWE and even watch the product, it seems Dustin Poirier isn’t one of them from the looks of it. While speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Dustin Poirier was asked if he knew who Roman Reigns was. Poirier claimed he had never heard of Roman Reigns but definitely knew John Cena.

“No I do not. I don’t, man, I don’t. Guilty.”

“I know that name, I know that name.”

As for Roman Reigns, he will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against John Cena at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 21. Perhaps Dustin Poirier will come to know who Roman Reigns is after that.

It’s hard to believe that Dustin Poirier doesn’t know who Roman Reigns is. Perhaps he needs to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, because it is his time, after all.
