Gable Steveson showed up in a big way and clinched the Gold Medal in Men’s freestyle wrestling at the 125kg level. The world seems to be his oyster at this juncture and plenty of people are paying close attention to him.

Kurt Angle should know a thing or two about what Vince McMahon wants to see on his roster. He said that Mr. McMahon is “drooling” over Gable Steveson, and that’s likely the truth. That being said, WWE isn’t Steveson’s only option.

The Olympic Gold Medalist saw a post from BetOnline which listed off the odds for his next move. Wrestling for Minnesota is the odds-on favorite with the odds looking very unlikely that he will ink a deal with an NFL team.

What will Gable Steveson do next?

“If I was y’all I would bet on the NFL,” Steveson replied along with a winking emoji. He is obviously having fun with this subject, because he also @mentioned Dana White and included a waving emoji to get the UFC head honcho’s attention with a follow-up tweet.

“Wouldn’t be our first @GopherWrestling legend,” the Minnesota Vikings replied to those betting odds. After all, they did have Brock Lesnar for a brief time.

We’ll have to see what Gable Steveson decides to do next. Whatever he chooses to do, he will undoubtedly command a high payday.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
