John Cena Explains How He Relates To The Rock

John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. From 2017 John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood.

The Peacemaker actor has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer and that includes The Rock. He also has a lot of respect for The Rock as he followed in his footsteps to become a huge draw in Hollywood.

While speaking to Extra TV’s Rachel Lindsay, John Cena explained how he can relate to The Rock. It all came down to juggling his obligations in Hollywood and also working as a pro wrestler.

”If there is anyone that has a greater sense of empathy of what he is trying to accomplish… I am trying to juggle everything and I haven’t been back in three and a half years and… I’m one thirty-sixth as busy as he is. For him to still be thinking about that, I think that is really special and really cool. I know he knows the effect his return would have and I think that’s also really special. think you have to pay homage to those who paved the way, and without Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, I wouldn’t be here in this goofy costume, so thanks.”

So far, Cena has competed in four untelevised matches since his return to WWE. We will have to wait and see how his match against Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam will be booked as we approach the pay-per-view.
