Conor McGregor remains one of the most well known MMA fighters in the history of combat sports and his accolades over the years speak for themselves. The Notorious is also known to trash talk often, with varied results.
While Conor McGregor has backed up his trash talks in the past, more often than not, they have also resulted in embarrassing defeats for him. McGregor also doesn’t hold any title in the UFC.
However, The Notorious One is certainly a huge money-maker as proven by the insane buy rates for any UFC pay-per-view he headlines and also his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in 2017.
For a long time there have been talks of Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor facing off against each other in a boxing match but it never really materialized for many reasons.
While speaking to The Schmo, Manny Pacquiao was asked about facing off against Conor McGregor. Pacquiao explained why the match has not happened yet and is unlikely to happen for a long time.
”For me, money will follow but my concern is the fans, how to make the fans happy. I don’t pick a non-boxer opponent. I want to pick the very best. So that we can claim that we are the best.”
We certainly wonder if Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor will compete against each other in a boxing match somewhere down the line as it will prove to be a huge money match for certain.
