The rivalry between Conor Mcgregor and Dustin Poirier reached a whole new level as it culminated in the main event of UFC 264, as the two fighters took each other on in the highly anticipated fight.

In a very shocking finish to the fight, Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round and Dustin Poirier was declared the winner via TKO after the fight ended due to doctor’s stoppage.

The Notorious One went under the knife in a 3.5-hour-long surgery for his fractured tibia. After the surgery was over, Conor McGregor provided an update on his condition, stating that he will be on crutches for 6 weeks.

While speaking to Shane Gillis, Joe Rogan talked about Conor McGregor’s rivalry with Nate Diaz and ‘guaranteed’ that McGregor will be fighting Nate Diaz next, in their third fight.

“That’s next, the third one’s next, I guarantee you. That’s it, that’s the fight. If Nate Diaz had fights with no time limit, he’d win them all. He hurts Leon Edwards and points out, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I got you.”

Conor McGregor already removed his cast recently as he is determined to make his comeback. It was previously reported that Conor McGregor will be out of action until next year. We will have to wait and see if McGregor will be facing Nate Diaz in his next fight or not.
