Lil Baby is currently one of the most popular rappers in the Hip-Hop World who is most certainly in demand by fans. The Hip-Hop World as a whole has become more prevalent in pop culture and mainstream media, with its rise in popularity.

It is no exaggeration to say that Lil Baby is going through a wonderful time right now, with his recent Grammy nominations and success across the Billboard charts. The rapper decided to make a bold statement as well recently in his latest verse for EST Gee’s “5500 Degrees.”

In the lyrics for the song, Lil Baby bragged that he is the Lil Wayne of the current generation of rappers.

“I’m going too crazy, I’m the Wayne of this new generation. N-ggas fugazi, they can’t fuck with us no type of ways, these n-ggas too lazy/I’m cut from a different type of cloth, I don’t know who raised ’em/Every time I pop out all the women screaming, ‘Woo, baby.’”

Naturally, this comes from a longstanding admiration and respect from both rappers. While speaking to Rolling Stone in November 2020, Lil Baby talked about how Lil Wayne’ influenced him as a rapper.

“I always feel like Wayne did what he wanted to do, in a sense. And the reason I feel like he could do whatever he wanted to do was because he put the numbers up behind him. So that’s the way I’m kind of rocking. I’m gonna rock out how I wanna rock out, as long as I put the numbers up.”

Lil Baby is certainly on top of the world right now and even Logan Paul had to admit he was wrong about him in the past. The sky is the limit for Lil Baby and he isn’t stopping anytime soon.
