Khabib Nurmagomedov will always be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. Khabib ended his career after his match against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020.

His opinion certainly carries a lot of weight and that is not changing anytime soon. In the main event of UFC 264, Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor competed against each other in their trilogy fight, with many fans wondering who would win in the end.

When all was said and done Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round and Dustin Poirier was declared the winner via TKO after the fight ended due to doctor’s stoppage.

While speaking to ESPN, Khabib talked about Conor McGregor’s behavior after his defeat at UFC 264. Khabib couldn’t believe how fans could still support Conor McGregor after everything he has done and warned that MMA will go in a bad way if people continue to support Conor McGregor.

“I saw a lot of tweets try to support him. How are you gonna support this guy? When kids, young generation watch him, watch this sport? If you want to promote your fight, promote. If the MMA community is going to support this bad people, this sport is going to go in a bad way.”

Khabib also previously stated that Conor McGregor is finished as far as a top-level competitor is concerned. Conor McGregor will be out of action until January of next year. We certainly wonder if fans will eventually turn on McGregor for good or not.
