Steph Curry has taken on the nickname of “The Baby-Faced Assassin” throughout his career. This is despite the fact that he is hardly a babyfaced anything at 35-years-old and 12-seasons into his NBA career. Others will always see LeBron James in him.

During this weekend’s American Century Championship golf tournament, Steph accepted a new nickname. One fan boldly called him “LeBron James’ dad. That nickname might stick, because it garnered quite a bit of attention.

Steph and wife Ayesha have three children, but LeBron James is not one of them. It is also impossible for LeBron to be Steph’s son, because he is older by three years. This comment from the gallery still made Steph Curry smile a bit.

The last time they went head-to-head, LeBron gave Curry a ticket out of playoff contention. We all know what happened to the Lakers after that in the first round as the Suns ousted them.

We’ll have tot see if this new nickname sticks around. Steph and LeBron have battled on the court and they are likely to do it again. Now they could have a bit more trash talk.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
