The long-standing rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier remains one of the most highly discussed topics in the MMA world. It culminated in their fight at UFC 264 on July 10th.
The main event truly had a big fight feel as many fans wondered just who would come out on top. In the end, Dustin Poirier would win the fight in a shocking manner after Conor McGregor fractured his ankle at the end of the first round. Poirier won the fight via TKO.
After the fight, a broken Conor McGregor was interviewed by Joe Rogan and the Irishman was certainly not graceful in defeat his time, as he targetted Dustin Poirier’s wife yet again and called her a ‘h**.’
“Your wife is in my DMs. Hey baby, hit me back up on chat later on. We’ll be at the after party, the Wynn nightclub, baby. You’re looking fit, you little h*e. F*** him,”
This unprofessional and downright disrespectful behavior from Conor McGregor was not received well by fans who took to Twitter and dragged The Notorious One over what he said.
Conor McGregor is as enraged as I’ve ever seen him. Couldn’t understand all of what he said but did he call Poirier’s wife a “ho?!” What the hell, man. Too damn far. McGregor’s persona really doesn’t play when he’s a sore loser. #ufc264

Conor McGregor’s reputation and credibility certainly took a huge hit after UFC 264 and the way he conducted himself after his loss. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for McGregor as he will certainly have a rematch against Dustin Poirier in the future.
