Nate Diaz remains one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz last competed against Jorge Masvidal for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 back in November 2019. He lost the match via doctor’s stoppage.

At UFC 263, Nate Diaz finally made his return to the Octagon as he squared off against Leon Edwards. Unfortunately for Diaz, his return didn’t quite go the way that he wanted to as Diaz lost the fight.

Nate Diaz had also made it clear that he wants to compete in the Octagon again within the next three to four months. After UFC 263, UFC President Dana White revealed that UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman will be defending his title against Colby Covington in a rematch.

Despite Leon Edwards winning his fight against Nate Diaz, White made it clear Covington will be next in line for a title shot. Nate Diaz took to Twitter and decided to call out Kamaru Usman for facing someone he already defeated.

Usman had previously claimed that if Nate Diaz had defeated Edwards at UFC 263, Diaz would have received a shot at the UFC Welterweight Title. Diaz recently sent a warning to the top 5 UFC lightweights and welterweights, signifying his interest in competing again soon. We will have to see if Diaz will face Usman eventually.
