Bad Bunny has a massive amount of love and respect for pro wrestling. His stint with WWE was something that he took very seriously. Bad Bunny even moved to Orlando, Florida, putting all of his music to the side, so he could train at the WWE Performance Center. Bad Bunny hasn’t been seen in WWE since Mania, but the Grammy Award winning rapper is about to step into a different kind of pro wrestling story now.

According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bad Bunny is set to star in a new movie about the life of exotico wrestler Cassandro. The project is currently underway and filming in Mexico City. It was not noted which role Bad Bunny is playing.

This film project was announced in July 2020, and it is now in production. It will feature the life of Mexican wrestler Cassandro, who has a lot of influence in the LGBTQ movement as well. This should be a very interesting film and we will have to see how historically accurate they make it.

Bad Bunny recently defended WWE by calling it “100% real.” LeBron James and others got a kick out of it, but Bunny backed up his statements in a big way. He loves pro wrestling and now he is about to be a part of this film project that centers around sports entertainment as he waits for that sold-out 2022 tour to start.

This is not the first film project about Cassandro. You can check out a trailer from a 2019 documentary about him below.
