Lil Baby was just trying to let fans know that they should watch the Billboard Music Awards. That did not turn out as he had planned at all.

The famous rapper dropped a video where he plugged the Billboard Music Awards. He was set to present “Top 100 Song” sponsored by Rockstar Energy. Then fans called out his inflection in a big way.

Some fans dragged Baby for sounding like he was doing work for the Disney Channel. “They said Lil Baby sounded like he was doing an intro for Disney Channel,” one fan quipped along with two LOL emojis. “Wassup, it’s Lil Baby here and you’re watching Disney Channel!” another fan tweeted out.

Lil Baby wasn’t dragged by everyone over this promo. One fan tweeted out saying: “this is so pure.” Obviously, some fans were willing to give him a pass.

This little promo likely isn’t something that Da Baby thought would generate such a reaction, but he was dead wrong. It turns out that fans really cared about this little plug for the Billboard Music Awards, especially since he sounded so different when doing it.

We can only imagine what kind of direction Lil Baby received before cutting this little video promo. That commercial was short, but it now lives online and the internet isn’t letting Baby live it down yet.
