Fans will protect the franchises that they stan for. Don’t mess with the Man of Steel when there are passionate DC Comics fans around. Zack Snyder has his own army of fans as well.

Variety recently wrote an article criticizing Zack Snyder’s 2013 take on Superman with Man of Steel. The film was the first one in his venture with DCEU, a journey that ended which Zack Snyder’s Justice League. On a side note: Justice League isn’t even considered part of the DCEU canon.

Zack Snyder’s fans are one of the biggest reasons for the existence and success of Justice League’s Director’s Cut. Fans campaigned for the release of Snyder’s Justice League, and their wish paid off on March 18th, 2021.

While the Snyder Cut is cherished by some fans, critics are always polarized on it. After a recent article by Variety came out where they criticized Snyder’s vision of Superman for lacking in heart, the fans simply couldn’t take it anymore.

Even though Cavill’s run as the Man of Steel is over, fans will still see him return as The Witcher in its second season.

John Wick’s director Chad Stahelski’s rendition of the Highlander series will also see Cavill in an action packed role, so fans are definitely going to see him as a superpowered machine of justice again, whether in one role or the other.
