LeBron James’ Wife Wouldn’t Let Him Join New York Knicks

LeBron James has his wife to thank for a lot of things. It turns out that she’s to thank for him never joining the New York Knicks on top of everything else.

James isn’t calling Madison Square Garden his home court as long as his wife is around. She has reportedly told him that the Knicks is a no-go. Sorry, New York fans.

In 2018, Lebron James had a big choice to make about his career. King James knew he was leaving Cleveland, but he had options. The 76ers almost got him, and then the Knicks came into the picture. Of course, the Lakers were also around.

While talking to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, Lisa Robinson of Vanity Fair said that LeBron had every intention of playing the NY, but his wife 86ed it. She used their children’s education as the reason.

“He was thinking about coming to New York but that his wife wanted to be in Los Angeles, wanted the kids to go to school in Los Angeles, and that just kiboshed the whole thing.”

It turns out that LeBron James’ children’s education meant more than playing for the New York Knicks. You never know if he could have revitalized that New York team, but he certainly did fine for himself on the West Coast.
