The Miz is a true veteran in WWE as he has worked in the company well over 14 years and won several championships during his time there. The Miz has also acted in several movies and has proven that he has the acting chops.

The Mortal Kombat movie dropped last month and it was a resounding success with fans as well as commercially. The first movie didn’t feature fan-favorite Johnny Cage, but it is expected he will be there in the sequel film. The Miz had previously made it clear he wanted to portray Johnny Cage in the past.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, The Miz doubled down on his desire to play the iconic Mortal Kombat character in the sequel film. The Miz stated that he would give his all to properly portray Johnny Cage.

“Honestly … if I have a shot at it, I would definitely want to make sure that I give everything that I possibly can to make sure that not only the production company, the director are happy with the character that I get, but also the fans because they are the ones that are so adamant about Johnny Cage being in the movie.

This is an iconic character in the ‘Mortal Kombat’ franchise and it needs to be done right. If I’m the person to do it, then so be it. I’m ready to go!”

Portraying the role of Johnny Cage would certainly be very special to The Miz as he spent many hours playing Mortal Kombat while he was growing up. He would usually play as Johnny Cage during those times.

“I remember playing this game when I was a kid. Sega Genesis, I would never play Super Nintendo because it didn’t have the blood, but I always played the Sega Genesis version and I remember playing as Johnny Cage.

“And, to see this kinda all happen, it’d be like a dream come true.”

Unfortunately for The Miz, he has some big competition for the role as Ryan Reynolds had also shown his interest in acting as Johnny Cage. We will have to see if The Miz will be able to achieve his dream.
